Default Axial spawn

Well as I take my brand new spawn out of the box today it had a broke lower front link so I went and ordered my vanquish 8 piece and a strc steering components. How does a product so expensive come out the box broke? Other than the broke part it seems to have a good layout though. Swap the link mounts around, add some weight to the front, move electronics around, put some dean's on connectors and put some carter panels on it'll be set. I do have a question the stock esc is rated 3s so will this 20t hold up or will it be like the first wraith? To the axles do you have to swap the internals around like the first wraith or did they finally decide to do it? Don't get me wrong love axial product but sometimes I wonder who boxes these things. Box looked brand new with no holes or scrapes

I built the kit. I never knew that there were issues with lockers and pinions. I have heard of problems when people don't follow the instructions on installation

I got one of the first wraiths and it would go faster in revese than forward so had to swap the ring gear to the other side of the pumpkin. I'm not sure on the spawn. I know my kit that I just bought had it right in the instuctions.

Swapped the ring gets around? that won't change the speed at all just the direction the diff turns the axles. If it was going faster in reverse it sounds to me that the motor direction was backwards?

Nope motor was good ring gears were backwards so when u swapped them then changed your radio then everything was going the proper direction. That's why he asked the question I think the problem was with brushless motor installs.

I unboxed mine and started running it. Soon after I couldn't turn and noticed my servo was stripped, replaced it with a savox 0251 and metal servo horn. Have not had problems since.

You will burn up the 20t quick with a 3s. Mine went Kaboom!

Bought a new Spawn Saturday. Stripped the steering servo Sunday. I replaced it with a Xpert WR7701 and had a blast with it today. No issues just fun crawling! I am running a 2s.

I'd stick with 2S and unless you get the gearing down to at least 5:1 instead of the stock 4:1, it won't take long to burn it up
