Decided to try some ascender shocks since I wasn't happy with the Gmades. They are more scale and I figured they have to be pretty good based on the background of horizon.

I also got a bunch of paint supplies in today but waiting on the body from dynamic concepts.

What was it exactly you didnt like about the Gmade? Were you running 93mm shocks?

103mm. They just seemed to have limited shaft travel and leaked alot. With these shocks I get more travel and hopefully no leaks.

Wow! This is definitely one of the coolest and sharpest looking 1.9 wraiths I have seen in a long time. Nice work man!

Something I've been meaning to get around to is the rear axle but it has me stumped. Any ideas why the axle isn't centered? As you can see the left sway bar is parallel with the chassis but the other side is way out of line. Any ideas? I checked link length and the uppers and everything is the same....

Have you tried removing the sways and seeing if it makes a difference?

How about a underneath shot?

Took the sway bars off and it seemed to center a little more. (not sure why that would affect it? Maybe one of my links is longer on those I'll have to check) but with them off it leans to the drivers side quite a bit. Can't figure that out either.

Great build! I'm sure you have, but have you measured your upper and lower links to ensure they are the same eye to eye? Do you have any binding anywhere? Is everything sitting square with the chassis after adding the rails and BGR stuff?

Going the other way (ar60's on scx rails) I had to shim the links at the skid and axles to get a fully smooth cycling suspension.

Another thought on the leaning to 1 side when the sway is off. One of the shocks may have some trapped air so that they are no working they same. Off the rig and with the springs off do the shocks rebound the same amount?

Little gremlins aside, this is a great looking rig. Nice work!

Could also be the shocks, I would switch sides and see if it has an adverse affect. You should also measure shock lengths although maybe not effective due to sag. Combined with sways maybe being off a lil, links and shocks it could be amplifying the issue

It did the same. Thing with the Gmades so it can't be the shocks. Could my panhard be the issue?

Yes it absolutely can if not setup right. The rear is not 4 linked?

edit: I just looked at the pics. With the rear being 4 linked and panhard front, it could still be the panhard that causes the lean. However the rear being not centered is going to be somewhere in the rear links, chassis side link mounts, or axle side link mounts.

If the rear upper links are identical eye to eye, as well as the lowers, then something in the rear assembly of the rig is not square. Very possible with all the "spliced" in pieces you have.

Everything seems square. the lowers are vp trailing arms so those are obviously correct and I took the uppers off last night and made sure they we're correct. Everything looks square as far as I can tell. Its like the whole chassis is maybe 1/4" or less to the drivers side.

Flip it over and give us a belly shot?

I'm curious if it could be the rear drive shaft having a slight bind. From what I can tell when it comes to the differential it has to travel to the right a bit. Might take it off and see if it slips in and out smoothly, and check the stance with it off.

Here's a few pics from my first run with the new shocks. I like them alot more. Not sure what I'm gonna do for a body. I destroyed the panels trying to paint them. Not even got a run them at all.

Question: Are you sure the mounting points are even side to side on the frame rails? Might try relocating the arms to the Wraith skid temporairly and see if the rear end straightens out.

Hmm didn't think about that...they should be but I can try moving them to the skid.
