| Project Toyota crawler!
New to the forum but have been into 1:1 crawling for a while. Got a wraith not too long ago and knew before i got it that it would be turned into a toyota style crawler. So without wasting time i got rid of the plastic panels, cut some metal ones and gave it a paintjob with a couple of toyota themed stripes Iv also gone ahead and swapped all of the electronics from the rear to the front right under the hood |

While doing some crawling at my local spot i ended up smoking out my stock motor and decided on getting a Holmes Hobbies torquemaster pro 540. Going to test it out this weekend to see how it does. Heard great things about HH so im pretty positive itll be a good product, drove it around a bit and has tons of torque! Also ordered a trailfinder2 hilux body for my wraith to give it even more of a toyota look, should be here sometime next week |

Mocked up my 1st gen cab yesterday. In no ways finished or satisfied on how it sits as of right now, still in the works. Way too cold to paint outside in the shed paints not spraying right. so i just put it on bare color, actually kinda like the color too, rc4wd titles it as grey primer but it is actually like a tannish cream color. Very nice Also added a bpillar roll bar to better support the cab at the back, itll soon be brazed up into a full metal rear cage for the yota. |

Wentnout and wheeled today at my local spot, new Holmes Hobbies motor worked great! Also started on some rear cage work. This is the first time i have ever messed around with brazing. Never even heard about it before before this week. So i got to it and learned as i went and tried to make a cage for my yota truggy. Still need to add a lil more, put in interior and all, file down all the lumpy welds and give it a good shot of paint. But its coming good. |

Finished up the rear cage on the yota and it holds up great While out crawling today things got a lil rowdy and ended up stripping my idler gear in my trans, so Robinson Racing metal gears are on their way, as well as some beadlocks and krawlers! after the metal gears are in im guessing the weaklink will move to the stock spur gear or maybe driveshafts. While the yota is down for repairs iv been keeping busy with this all tube buggy im fabbing up, might make a build thread on it later on as progress advances on it. |

Got new idler and final gear, beadlocks, r35 krawlers, aluminum tierod & draglink and another battery the other day. Got it all locked and loaded for tomarrow morning to give it a go! Cant wait to see how these tires perform. They are sealed with no holes in the wheels so they dont deflate and inflate, and no water can get into them. But they still wrap around like real aired down tires. Hope they do me good! |

Been a lil while so ill ipdate this, i kept stripping out my plastic horns and ended up with no more to use so i ordered an axial aluminum horn, while i was at it, also got a Holmes Hobbies HV400 servo. Havent gotten a chance to give it a go but the combo looks solid! Next up will be an HH esc forsure. |

Looks great with that body on there. Once you get the interior in there I would cut out a rear body panel to seal of the cabin.
