| Fresh built wraith - want to set up for crawling
Just finished putting the kit together and trying to dial in the sidewinder with the CC link. First off heres my new set up- axial 55t motor sidewinder 3 bec ar-2 6000 lipo zippy ax10 beadlocks weighted super swampers, cut foam moved battery up front fast back cage king piggy back shocks 110mm flipped axle/shock mounts flipped upper rear shock mount aluminum lowers, upper in the rear, and steering my first issue is shock tuning. i was thinking that i needed more flex but i think i need to focus on spring tension first. Ive got the shocks adjusted as far up as they will go without the springs unseating. Can i get softer springs for the kings or use a thinner weight oil? im using the axial 30wt. a lot of times i will get one tire on a log or rock from flat ground and instead of one or both axles flexing the whole front end lifts up, and the car has to "rock" before it will start articulating the axles. i just changed the gearing to 19t/87t gears that i had laying around, so im hoping that will get me more torque from a stop. it was really weak with the 20t/80t stock gears lots of cool info and mods ive been reading about on here. this is basically exactly what i hope to build it like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvttH24R1G0 |
