I prefer the S9157. It is a great all around servo.

If you can get a hold of one, Holmes Hobby BL400. Titanium gears, waterproof, and just under 400 oz @ 6V. 472 oz @ 7.4V and almost 600 oz @ 8.4V! And fast, too.

And retails for under $100 US

Whatever you get use a bec. High torque over 350 in lbs . High quality hi tec ,jr,futaba ,holmes ,you are getting a good servo. I think it's a luck of the draw the servo your shipped. Get one with a decent warranty. If it's not waterproof don't turn your truck into a submarine until you take precautions to properly protect from water usage. Some servos are waterproofed. Others are water resistant. Use accordingly.

Either will be fine but you get waterproofing With the BRXL wp. And yes on the BEC.
