Default Wraith NOT RESPONDING

Hey guys,

So i used my Wraith today. All electronics are stock except my servo is a Savox SW-0231 and i changed the gearing to 16/87. I also changed the battery connection to a deans and run a 2s lipo battery.

After a while my motor got very very hot and the car stopped working. I let it cool down and turned it on an hour later. All lights turn on, but when i turn on the remote controller and try to turn the wheels or give it power, nothing happens at all. Just the lights flicker a bit.

Do i need a new motor or esc?

How can I check the servo? Could I just disconnect it and see if everything else works while its disconnected?

Yes you can try that. And if moves too slow is a way to know.

If you're not running an external bec with that servo then your ESC may be toast and the esc may have killed your motor as well. Yes you need an external bec

What steps do you recommend I take in order to solve this issue?

Do you have any spare motors, esc's or servos? Process of elimination.

Disconnect your servo, your motor should run without a servo attached, start with a cheap brushed motor, if it still doesn't run your issue is the ESC, Tekin or Castle ESC's are top of the line and will last if your gearing is properly set up.

Disconnected the servo, and everything works now. It's the servo that's too strong. I need an external BEC because without the servo connected the wheels turn and everything

THANKS GUYS I SOLVED IT. I need a BEC

Servos can draw a lot of juice. When mine died it caused the rig to stop completely even though the have a bec; think I'll wire it directly next time rather than through the rx.

My servo didn't die right? It's still works? Once I hook up a BEC will my servo start working again?

No guarantees until you try. I had one of those servos fail after not much use. Caused lots of glitching. :(
