Default Axial knuckles and hubs - Extra link mounts

I have an Axial Wraith and ordered the Axial knuckles and hubs. It looks as though there is some additional material on the inside of the knuckles for the XR10 steering.

Is there any harm to removing that material? I will never buy an XR10 and it seems like something to get stuck on stuff.

Thanks.

Thats the 2 arms off the back of the knuckle?
Lop them off, your right they only serve a purpose on an XR10.

Easy for me to say, I don't know your budget, & I don't know what you paid for the Axial bits but the Vanquish scale knuckles & hubs are far superior to the Axial for the $9 price difference
(I'm working on the prices from RPP, $40 for the knuckle & $51 for the hub for Axial v $50 each for the Vanquish)

I find the "extra" rearward facing steering arms make for good steering stops when they contact the C-hub. You can still trim alot of them away and still have them function as stops.

Best way to destroy front shafts/joints is to over angle them. Set your EPA all you want, but when you smoke a rock at speed your going to want good steering stops.

Steering stops don't help when you smoke a rock at speed. Or a cinder block. Vanquish chubs and hubs took it like a pro.

I cut the arms off the back of my original knuckles, didn't cause any problems for the short time I had them on there.

Thanks. Will look into the vanquish stuff later on. They were all sold out on the stage 1 stuff.
