Default Why not 1.9 wraith build

Ok guys this is my 1.9 wraith. The power plant is a Castle Creations Mamba max pro, motor is a 3300kv Tekin pro4. The transmission is all steel gears with a modified dig unit to run the front axle in free wheel. I did this so i can take the truck in and out of 4wd. Im running scx10 axles for now and will be swapping in the Veterra Ascender axles. I plan on using the built in high steer and built in panhard bar mount. I also like there size and one piece case.

Parts used.
Hitec Hs645MG steering servo
Futaba S9551 shift servo
Spektrum SR301 3-channel receiver
Tekin Pro4 3,300kV 4-Pole Brushless Sensored Motor w/5mm Shaft
Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro 1/10 Sensored/Sensorless ESC
Visionary Fabrication Axial Ax-10 Dig System
Axial Steel Locked Transmission Gear Set
JunFac Hardened Universal Shaft for Wraith. In the rear will be swapped to mip
Integy scx10 aluminum driveshaft front
Axial Aluminum Knuckle
Axial Aluminum C Hub Carrier
Axial Universal Joint Set

I got some run time in on the new build. I'm very happy with this rig so far very capable and stable.

This is the compound we were at.

Nice job on the build! Jealous of the rig and the compound you've got there. Awesome job adapting that body to the Wraith chassis!

I used the axial 6x91mm links for the 4 link front and rear. You will need a 3x.50 tap. You will need to cut the front upper link bars to fit. This will stop the servo from pointing at the ground. I used a tube cutter you can get at autozone and you can get a small tap and die set at Home Depot for like $12. Can i ask what body your going to run? The jeep or the factory wraith panel set? I only ask do to the fact that the jeep and deadbolt body with scx10 shocks will let the tires rub the body so im using a 100mm shock.

Great build. Whats the advantage of disconnecting the front wheels?

I know if I went that route, it'd be for wicked donuts and the scale factor.

No real advantage to doing this beside the scale factor. With the front wheels still locked together through the spool you won't gain any tighter turning unless you let the rear end power slide over.

I've been thinking about building a low slung high rpm street machine drift wraith. After seeing this I believe it would be awesome to have a similar setup for optional 2wd / 4wd.

Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. Nicely done so far!

I did the front end mod for the scale factor and i had never seen it done before. I dont have much run time with the front end woking that beeing the video. However seeing what i can crawl in 2wd is a big chang.

How much torque does the servo need to put out? If you bought a kit, would the stock servo work?

I only used this servo beause it had a horn. I was going to use a Hitec SH645mg but i didnt have a servo horn and needed to order one for it. I will look up the name of the dig unit i have if you want that info. I have had the dig for about 2 years now sitting on a shelf. It just did not fit with the other projects i was doing at the time.
