I'm interested in building this one too and if you don't mind, I would like to have a few measurements from the finished result.
I have a rock bouncer 2.2 that I built from brake line too and would like to compare the size.

I'm interested in:
- wheelbase
- chassis length
- chassis width at the dooors
- chassis width at the roof
- chassis height (including the skid or not?)
- nose width (at the shock mounts?)

Also, I could not find if you used 3/16" or 1/4" tube.
This seems to be 3/16", but given it's probably on the 1/8" scale side, it could be 1/4" too.

Thanks
It's basically the same size as a Wraith, it was designed around that drivetrain (wheelbase, links, shocks). And that is 3/16" tube.

Thanks Harley.
In a 2.2 build of Trent fab Top Shelf, I saw 15" wheel base and 20" long for the chassis, which kinda got me scared... I was looking for something much smaller, around 13.5" wb.
I might try scaling down your plan to build a 1.9 rig instead.

This is what it looks like with panels. And 1.9s, I added some rock sliders and a rear tire holder. But pretty much the same design. Building the rebel offroad KOH 2014 rig.

Damn thing weighs a ton. But it acts like a real rig. Even rattles and sqweeks when it goes over rocks.

That looks awesome!

Would anyone care to share the link to Harley's drawings?

Thanks a lot for sharing on 1.9! Great details you put on it!
I would go with a flat hood too. I think the chassis design stands out even better that way.
Driving an heavy truck feels entirely different; more rewarding ;)

Here is for the link

Driving a heavy rig is more rewarding. Its more realistic. You can't go up and over impossible obstacles like a plastic wraith can. So I feel it makes you a better driver.

Heres a pic of the chassis on a 1:1 actual rig.

How much does your rig weigh? Mine fully loaded come in at 9.5lbs

Man I like the 1.9's !!!!!!! If the wheelbase was shortened a lil bit, I think it would look spot on!!

I love the orange and black theme. Are the beadlock rings orange or red? The should get sprayed in the same orange as the chassis. Great job on this build.

That is what I found out too... so dang heavy!! Makes me nervous in the woods where it can take some nasty long tumbles... Also if it starts coming at your shins, watch out!!

On another note, the crawlmaster has never run right for me... always hot. Any ideas?

Try a smaller pinion.

I have done that. I went down to where the thing is just slow slow slow. To the point that it was zero fun to drive :/

Hmm, then something else must have some sort of drag on it. With the motor removed (or at least the pinion removed) does the drivetrain spin very free? Giving it a spin by hand will it roll a few good revolutions before slowly coming to a stop or does it roll for a second and then have a more sudden stop?

Yep. When I was burning up motors I finally figured out I had resistance in my trans. The shaft was too long and binding up the trans.

Do these pics exist somewhere else? All I see is blurred photobucket pics. I am building this and would love to see the actual pics. Here is a link to my build.
