Philthy's Wraith Build

Hey everybody, I've been a fly on the wall for a little while here, figured it was time to start contributing, but I oughta put my Wraith up first.

She's pretty basic in all honesty, not much money into her and no plans for super spendy upgrades. So far, I've got:

Hobbico CS-170 servo (rebranded Hitec 7955)
Castle BEC (default 5.1V, puts the servo at around 270 oz-in)
3S LiPo, 1300 mAh
Integy steering links (piss-poor design that I'll be tweaking in the near future)
Custom lower rear links
G-Made G Transition shocks (35wt front, 50wt rear)
Berg wheels (that extra width is sweet on sidehills [emoji41])
Proline Chisels (dual-stage foams in the front, memory foams in the rear)
A lot of cutting and tweaking on the chassis
Moving nearly all the electronics to under the hood (put the receiver in the passenger seat area to make the wiring easier to get to.
.040 aluminum body panels (it's beastly)
RC4WD 35t motor
87/14 gearing on spur/pinion
Axial tranny gear set (because I shredded my plastic idler gear, driving like an a**hole).

She's no beauty queen, but more of the partying tattooed chick that's doing body shots on the bar. Basically, my style [emoji13]

Thanks for looking folks, I'll see you on the forum!

Oh, just a quick note: I'm adding the Axial Universals and programming my BEC today to 6V. Should make a big difference in line management, we'll see!

I was gonna say that servo is having it too easy!

Right?! If/when it goes out, I'm looking at that Savox 1230. Huge torque and only $75, I wish I'd seen that before I bought the Hobbico!

I have the same shocks as you but but red and set up in droop, also flipped upside down for lower COG. Keeping the weight down low is a good thing for the wraith. I love my Savox 1230 servo with 500 in/oz. Best bang for the buck servo imo, I have them in all my crawlers and 0 fails. Very happy with Savox.

I had those G-Mades set up for droop but I lost too much belly clearance. It was killer on verts, but even now it does pretty well all around.

My CS-170 was a good servo when I had it. And your rig looks good man..
