Default Hot Racing Double Up Clutch over kill ?

I was looking up all the slipper clutches that could be used on the wraith and with the Beefy Top shaft Traxxas Slash comes in.. well an upgrade to the Slash is a E Revo slipper.. alot bigger.
Well Hot Racing has the double up slipper.. you can now use 6 slipper pads not just 3.. or a T Maxx disk brake pad.
I like this over the RRP as you can change the spur gears.
Is this E Revo sized slipper over kill with my setup ?

HH esc and TQmaster 27t on 3s

Well no one had anything to say so I went with the Slash slipper not the Revo or the Double up slipper.
Stock Slash is still alot better than the Axial unit.

I have the Revo Slipper waiting in the wing to go on. It's a beast!

Don't waste your money. Revo unit or just buy a lockout. Slippers are useless in a Wraith.

Well I like to run one.. but the more I beef it up the tighter I can run it.
After this round of upgrades the axle shafts themselves are the weak link.

I thought about a slipper eliminator but said naw I'll keep one.

I like running slippers. Gives enough cush to keep my driveline a bit happier when I catch air. I like to have the shafts running from axle to tranny as the weak link. They are easy and fast to replace compared to any other parts.

I agree. Plastic TMaxx shafts act as my torque absorbers. I don't want any slipping while bound up crawling.

Plastic spurgear and driveshafts as quick, cheap and easy to replace and less rotating mass.

Ditch the RRP tranny gears and get a set of HR lightweight gears, much lighter and take more abuse.

or Hot Racing standard weight tranny gearset

I run slippers in anything that goes fast, and lock them down/remove them on anything that goes slow. Shock load seems to do more damage than torque load.

And the more hundreds of hours you spend driving various RC's the better you'll get at matching wheel speed with landing speed/angle so that landings take less of a toll. Newbs should run slippers. That last sentence provides a humorous image.
