if you plan on doing even a little bit of crawling, i would recommend a sensored brushless motor, i run a hobbywing 3400kv 3656sd. the vxl esc has a sensor port and is already water proof so that should work good for your application. i would also recommend a bigger battery. 1600mah 2s isn't good for speed or run time. pickup a 2200mah 3s. it will give you more speed and run time, and can be had for not much $$. make sure you have a BEC. as far as beefing up for the extra power, replace things as they break.

i run a 5000mah 3s and i have great speed and get about 3hrs of run time. i do a mix of slow crawling and high speed runs. im also running an rx8 ESC. the vxl-3s is much less hungry, so you may get longer run time.

Considering this is the Wraith section.. I vote Wraith! For what you're aiming for, the Yeti might be the better choice. Will have to get some opinions from people who have both to make an educated decision tho. |

Could do a wreti. Search the forums for a Wrexo (Wraith caged, AR60 solid rear axle with independent front suspension from the Exo). That'll give you an excellent idea of what a Wraith & yeti combo can do.
