| metal rod ends
I was surfing the RC4WD website, and stumbled upon the metal rod-end section. do these rod ends help prevent slop over time? what size would be a direct replacement for the rod ends that come with vanquish links (i think they are revo ends)? and are they worth it?

I use the RC4WD metal heim joints in my SCX10 with Axial alum links. They look great but the balls are a bit sloppy to be honest. Therefor, I only use em on the lowers. My uppers use revos to keep the slop to a minimum. Revos are damn strong; I dont see much use for the metal ends besides aesthetics. Not sure of the thread pitch on the Vanquish stuff. |

I thought the vanquish rods were 4mm thread but could be a standard thread pitch too they like to use standard hardware for the lightbars and the beadlocks

The metal-housing rod ends that RC4wd sells are actually worse at developing slop than the common "Revo" rod ends. Best ends for the Vanquish links would be the RPM varient of the Revo rod ends. |
