Default Servo

So I stripped out my servo over the weekend. What is a good budget servo to go with? I'd like to stay less then 50$. How about the servos on hobbyking? Any good?

No suggestions? Most threads I read were suggesting 100$ servos which I don't plan to spend. Was just hoping to get a suggestion and possibly a review of hobbykings servos

If you buy 2 $50 servos you could have bought a $100 servo. Cheap stuff doesn't hold up.

You can get like 4 Towerpro 996's off ebay for 25 bucks. They'll get you by for awhile.

My son has a hobbypeople waterproof servo. Was 35 bucks. Aluminum case metal gears and 207 oz of torque works pretty good for a budget servo. He crashes the truck hard and i broke my hitec and his is still rockin. I upgraded to a savox waterproof servo at 277 oz of torque and love it.

Look for a hitec that's about $40. I've got one and it holds up fine

The Solar 772 is cheap and decent specs. I have four of those TowerPro 996's, two in my Savage, one in my Wraith, for 28 bucks, I'm happy lol.

Since I got four for a total of 28 bucks, I'll have the Tower Pros for awhile, but when they poop, I'm looking at this one, Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Addison, Illinois): Power HD 1501MG Metal Gear Servo

I've been running a plastidipped trackstar ts-910 @ 8.0v for 4-5 months now with zero issues
TrackStar TS-910 Digital 1/8 Truggy/Monster Truck Steering Servo 66g / 30.6kg / 0.14sec

great torque and speed.

Yeah, there's definitely options out there below a 100 Hitec

Yes, hence why I recommended a $37 servo (less if you let it sit for a bit or are a platinum member)

I have a $30 MG959 from HK and in the 5 packs I've run through my Wraith it seems to have held up fine.
