| My Wraith axle/scorpion chassis Monster truck
I have ended up with so many Scorpion parts over the years, that I had enough parts to start a MT build! I had extra Scorpion sideplates in Alloy as well as Carbon-Fiber! I used solid Revo pushrods for links. The axles are Wraith ones I had built, but never used. I'm building the Trans tonight with all R/R hardened gears as well as using MIP driveshafts! For power I gonna rob my VXL out of my Rustler! The wheels are some I had built a few years back by screwing and expoxying cut down Stampede wheels into the backs of Clod wheels. I then mounted up one of my last sets of Imex Baja's for tires! The body is a Venom I still had in a bag, so I painted it up for my SCX Honcho, but thought it was more appropriate on this! Well here is what I have so far, and will finish it all up this week. |

I really like the old TXT, and I did these MT builds also!

The steering is a custom modd I do to all my Wraith axles. I install the knuckles backwards, then cut down a RC4wd Wraith steering kit to fit into the arms.

I believe he's referring to the use of exclamation points throughout the post lol. On the wheels, they are Clod wheels with Stampede hex's glued onto them? How did you get them centered? Or am I misunderstanding?

You take a whole Stampede wheel, cut in half, then slide it up into the back of the Clod wheel. It will fit tight! Next you can just epoxy it in there, or do like me and use epoxy, plus screw about (4) small bolts around the backside of the Pede wheel into the Clod wheel. While no tire is mounted yet, you can install the nuts inside the Clod wheel.

I love this! I'll bet it handles much more realistically than most RC "monster trucks".

Yeah, I built one awhile back kinda like this, and they handle great if setup correctly. Getting the front caster right as well as setting the 4-link correctly make all the difference. I've built Race Clods since back in the 80's and love them, but these lighter, more nimble Monster's are just as fun, if not more! |

Is there any torque twist on this thing?
