Default Anyone running Fast lane Machine Front CVDs?

I dont know if they would hold up to the punishment some of us dish out on our axles, but I do know that FLM makes a GREAT product!

Axial Wraith CVDs, Axial AX10, FLM78000

Anyone using these and able to provide feedback?

Thanks

For that price I may have to give them a try. Looks well built and offered with individual pieces. You are right, FLM has made quality pieces in the past, I have had good luck with them.

I dont get how they work. CVD on one side and universal style on the other?

Kinda looks like an open cvd style... Hope that pin is notched. Wonder if this design frees up the normal cvd style.

I've had good luck with FLM previously.

Is it just me or am I seeing little ribs intermittently along the inner axle shafts? Not sure why you would do that, seems it would have a tendency to localize twisting rather than spread it out over the length of the shaft.

I see them also, I guess it depends on how abrupt the transition is. 1:1 axle shafts often have transitions on them, and some, often fail there.

I'd definitely heat shrink the joint anyway.

Why would you turn down the shaft past the point it goes into the diff carrier? Leaving that as large as possible strengthens it. The way it is the inner shaft would be the weak link in my eyes and therefore more of a pain to replace when broken. Also a greater chance of tearing up more stuff that way.

It would be nice if mip would step up and build a strong front cvd.

I have yet to break a mip drive shaft.... u must have some extreme angles on yours. The more angle they are the weaker they are by design. Just like normal ujoint.. a true cv axles with ball and cup can ruN at extreme angles.
