Default Trans / dig questions

I have gotten a vp dig in a trade, complete with servo, etc. I'm thinking of attaching it to an scx tranny, either the stock or the HR I have on my other truck to put in to the wraith.
Anyone know of the vp dig will mate to an HR trans?
Is the dig sturdy enough to deal with occasional brushless bashing?
I have RR trans gears, MIPs, HD diffs, sensored BL 3100kv, 56/10 gearing, pretty tight slipper, etc.
Mainly for crawling but some u4 type Rolling as well...

I have a DIG in my 4x4x4 Wraith but I rarely use it since I added rear steer

Yeah, I'm kinda interested in rear steer as well, but I have this sitting here...
Also I had been running MOA for a while, and I liked how it helped climbing. I have read that it doesn't have the same effect on a wraith, though. Can anyone elaborate on why not?
On the MOA, on super steep climbs letting the back wheels free kept the front end from lifting off of the rock, and the front 2 wheels could pull it, sometimes. Does this not happen on a wraith?

So is the dig sturdy enough to deal with some high speed bashing? I imagine I'd just leave it in 4wd...

I run 2200 3s 60 amp rated packs into a Castle MMP into a first generation ROC 412 3100. The axial case, DIG and internsls haven't had a problem.

Thanks! I have read that they may not be be tough enough for bashing, but this makes me more optimistic!
Any other opinions??

Should be fine! Be sure to clean with alcohol on output & set screws use blue locktite let sit overnight

The dig is a great option for any rig & has same benifits on all including wraith!!! I run 3 vp dig units with one being a wraith setup for crawling.

So, just to follow up, a VP dig will not bolt up to a HR trans without some dremeling...
Also, if using a standard size servo, it will not fit with a 550 can motor without modifying something, or using a low profile servo...

Oh yes. Make sure you use a sensored brushless motor. Save the sensor less motors for the quad copters
