SLW wheels/hubs Was just curious, are these more for a scale look or is there other benefit gain with running them? |
Re: SLW wheels/hubs they make it so you can use multiple wheels and tires on a single rig with out having to remove and install crap load of tiny screws (centercaps) and you dont have to remove the axle nut all the time. just remove the 6 larger bolts and swap them out. it also allows you to choose an offset depending on your needs and still run a wheel on different rigs if you want without having issues with offsets. plus they do look very scale! |
Re: SLW wheels/hubs I gather what your saying about the custom off set, but if your pulling 6 screws each wheel to pull your wheels off, then to me that's having to remove a bunch of screws lol. Unless I missed something |
Re: SLW wheels/hubs most of mine that have center caps are 8 very tiny bolts, then you have to remove the axle nut as well, versus 6 much bigger and easier to manage bolts to just a hub |
Re: SLW wheels/hubs If you have multiple sets of rims and tires you want to run you don't have to mess with all the beadlock screws Sent from my RM-820_nam_att_100 using Tapatalk |
Re: SLW wheels/hubs The main benefit, to me, was to get rid of the drive pin, that I lose all the damn time when I take my wheels off. With a good hex, and locking pin, that's no longer an issue. Also, they come in different widths, although once you find one that works for you, I doubt you will be swapping them for fun. FWIW, I still take my wheels off with the center lock nut... |
