I've twisted a few sets of those, funny thing is only on my SCX never the wraith and they both run Holmes motors on 3s, still on the original set on the wraith but put MIP's on the SCX .

It's not all about the amount of power you have, driveshaft length and pinion angle are also contributing factors in the twisting of a driveshaft.

^This. 1st pack after I finished building it. I Knew this was the weak point but that HH CrawlMaster Pro is a beast.

When I tear up a driveshaft, I'll pull it and the 35t, and go RWD with the 20T for a while until parts arrive. Bahaha

This pretty much what i did, I just ran RWD as it was the front shaft that snapped.

In my case it's probably more about the way I drive them as in I hardly ever drive the wraith and when I do its hill climbs and running on flat ground, the scx gets the rock duty and every one I broke I was bound up trying to power out of it.

I just snapped one yesterday. Luckily had spares and swapped one out.

I was having difficulty getting the spur and drive gear to play nice. instead of tearing out the driveshafts, or fiddling with them, I just ran it with the rear drive shaft installed... it was a blast, but... Unable to crawl. At all. lol
