Default servo mount currie

Hello,
I want to get a set of curries for my wraith, Does the servo mount the the front truss on the currie, or do I have to get the panhard steering setup?
Thanks

I mounted mine on the axle. Used stock wraith servo mount. It mounted offset to the right a bit, (with the stock holes). So the servo hit the right side of the chassis. Had to mock it up first & center it to drill new holes in the mount so the servo would be centered between the chassis. Works great.

You can do the VP chassis servo mount without the panhard as well. You just need the VP drag link to stretch out the length a bit.

Do not do this
Everybody who has tried to modify the cms doesnt get it to work. Panhard bar is needed or you will get bumpsteer. You will see plenty of threads where somebody didnt use all the coreect pieces and they couldnt get the steering to work. If you use the servonpkate from the wraith it works just fine with the currie front axle i have the setup on 3 of my rigs. You will need a lil spacer between the top of the servo and the axial servo plate. For some reason axial put spacers on the plastic housing molded into it. But vp made the top of the currie truss flat. The screws that are on the bottom of the plate will hit. Those lil aluminum spacers axial sells in green and grey will work. Very small like 3mmm thick spacer dont remeber the part number.

servo mount unmodified on a currie. Use Loctite it will wiggle loose. You will want to set the side mount in place on the axial servo plate with it off the axle and Loctite them in place then remove servo and mount the plate on the axle with more Loctite let the screws dry for a day then remount the servo and it will be rock solid.

remember to put some spacers between plate and currie axle screw heads for the side posts will hit the currie axle a lil.

found a pic that barely shows the spacers on the servo plate.

Solid mount to axle= best steering performance when flexing
CMS Looks cool, more scale appearance. Ever see a comp rig with cms?
Same with 1:1 rigs with hyd steering cylinder mounted to the axle; U4 rigs

No spacers, counter sink screws

Also mounted to the axle here. Ran spacers but could have countersunk the screws. Also +1 for "ever see a comp rig with CMS?" Love the looks of it but parts really don't allow for the performance needed out of a C3 Scale comp ring. Period. I'll give up the points and gain them elsewhere.

So if doing CMS with Panhard what parts are needed? What about if I was building wraith curries on a SCX10 frame?
