Re: Project khaos continues Was a fan of project Kaos while Deadpool was building it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. From that last picture I'd have to say project Kaos is going to get chaotic. (Yay puns!) :lmao: What motor kv and batteries you planning to run in this? |
Re: Project khaos continues The rig is sick. Nice buy!!! what the **** you don't need no 3 esc and motor setups now your just hogging all the good shit. I will PM you my address and you can just send one of those to me. It's my very merry unbirthday.:flipoff: |
Re: Project khaos continues |
Re: Project khaos continues The Esc is Mamba max pro. The Motor is a Tekin pro4 3,300kv Battery is a onyx 5,000mah 25c. I run them in my outher trucks. I get anout 2.5 to 3 hours out of them with my set up. |
Re: Project khaos continues Lookin forward to seeing how you make this rig your own. |

Re: Project khaos continues Now you're just teasing us. Making us blind folks search up the part number because I'm too lazy to zoom in on the part name. :flipoff: Edit: See the time stamp? That's what happens when you open a thread then walk away for a few minutes before responding. Go figure. xD |
Re: Project khaos continues I run them in all my Wratih. I use lexan paint on the fenders to start with. Then I use Krylon flat black on top of the lexan paint to get that mat look . I also just did a set in my sons 1.9 Wraith |
Re: Project khaos continues I will post the part number for fenders with the photo of the packing label so please check previous post. |

The fender help keep cut down on the Mud/dirt in the floor pan. I took some rubber and cut it to fit under the esc and rx box and to the face of the skid to help keep trash out. I also took some lexan and made a guard for the under side by the motors where the Cage is open at the bottom. tis in in my other truck but will be making its way in to Khaos in time http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...9c5c5a3e20.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...58ff54a9d0.jpg |
Re: Project khaos continues Okay guys this is the list of parts going into khaos. Deadpool removed the rear hd gears while he had Khaos. I picked up a new rear set to go back in. The pinion gear maybe changed depending upon motor temperatures and capability when everything is installed. Re: Project khaos continues 54/17's a little steep for a crawler with the stock trans ratio, no? Would imagine you'll run into heat issues fairly quickly at low speed. |
Re: Project khaos continues Im just trying the 17 for now to see how it runs. I've got a handful of other 5mm pinions so it may wined up lower |
Re: Project khaos continues I spent some time working on khaos last night. After helping my son with the gear swap in his truck I installed The Tekin pro4, Mamba max pro esc and BEC. I took a male and female Deans connector soldered them together attach the positive and negative from the BEC. I also built a small splitter harness for my Bec so that I send Power to the servo and not the receiver. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...25aa969d9f.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...95aa12a5ef.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...e90eadb236.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...39d4e0b523.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...f7d18c832d.jpg |
Re: Project khaos continues I was going to try and get to the rocks this weekend. However mother natures has other plans that will be keeping us inside all weekend. |
Re: Project khaos continues Same here.. Was suppose to install ball joints and tie rods in a friend's truck at the house tonight and tomorrow. Been a slow, steady rain all day so far. Maybe I'll actually make some progress on my rc instead. |
Re: Project khaos continues I received my lexan in the mail today. I can now start on the splash guards for the bottom of the chassis. The guards will go between the skid plate and the chassis itself to stop trash getting up in by the motor and transmission. I picked it up from Amainhobbies it is a 8x12 sheet that is .030 thick.
