My buddy ‘stole’ my 6 bucket light bar last week to go on an hike. He put the bar on a NiMh 7.2V and a 500mA driver (@ +/- 165mA per LED). He was asked several time whether he was afraid in the dark or if he could ‘enlighten’ a repair on another rig. In short: To much. (when you’re riding with others and not competing). Unnecessary drain of battery power. So for my own rig I opted for 4 lights upfront (@ +/- 100mA) and 4 at the bottom (@ +/- 50mA). Quick run in the garden proofed this is enough to navigate in the dark. Will be tested on real rocks soon. |

Not the spur, just the slipper clutch kicking in. Still running the standard 48p plastic spur.
