Default Axail Wraith Spawn RTR version, cut tires? add weights? yay or nay

I have the spawn rtr version, should I cut the tires and put weights in them?

One strip of the adhesive weights around each front tire, then a strip of every other weight around the back tires.

I have a 208oz mg servo

200 oz isn't enough for 2.2's, much less weighted 2.2s. Have you moved the battery? Adding front weight bias will help climbing, it may be all you need to do as well. I personally don't weight tires. Why do you need to cut the tires? The ripsaws are pretty good allround tires.

Battery is upfront, electronics in back.

Im new to crawling, and a friend of mine said he would cut the tires and add weight.

I get quite a bit of tire spinning on loose dirt.

Aside from the stock servo having 150oz and only water resistant, and the only decent quality servo that was in my budget was 208 and its waterproof.

You can just take the tires off the beadlocks with the screws in the backside of the rim.. assuming you have the methods on still. Take the foam out of the tire and add the weights or you can get softer foams. no cutting needed
