plastic spur with supershafty top shaft, help!

Alrighty peeps, I have searched for this so don't jump me for not looking :flipoff:LOL

anyway, im having issues putting together the tranny I want. its a supershafty ax-10 trans with the slash metal spur form rrp. I want to run the axial plastic spur gear so I have a sort of weak link in the system to prevent breaking expensive parts. If I were running the stock axial topshaft, then it would be easy to convert, but the supershafty top shaft has the thru pin design. Do you think I could swap parts straight from a yeti? Any help here would be awesome. oh and im using the 32p gears.

Why not just run a slipper.
Even with mine tightened super tight it will slip enough to save drive train parts under severe binding.

Some finger control helps

Why run a nice metal set up with any plastic parts

Weak links aren't really needed. We have parts available that will hold up to the abuse and power we run now.

You already have a SS trans, you're already in good shape.

Haha yeah I've got the finger control thing down pretty good, just thought it might be nice to have a weak link, that and I don't like how loud the metal on metal is. I know it's just being picky, but was curious.
