Default wraith 6mm output bearings?

I have the supershafty 6mm outputs on my transmission and the bearings have gone bad. I cant find the bearings anywhere. supershafty has the sizes listed as 10x6x4 and 16x10x5. Any help finding these would be appreciated

Avid, Acer, Duratrax, Associated, Traxxas, etc. you should be able to find 10x16x5mm pretty easily from any of them as well as other sources. But 6x10x4mm in a radial bearing is not a common size, 6x10's are generally 3mm or 2.5mm wide. You can get 6x10x4 in ceramic bearings, but they're expensive compared to steel/stainless steel bearings. I had a problem finding 6x10x4's for the Associated topshaft/V2-slipper conversion, I used the 3mm wide bearings and some shims instead.

Avid 10x16x5mm.

Acer 10x16x5mm.

Set of four ceramic 6x10x4mm on e-Bay for $32.

I think SuperShafty has mistakenly listed the wrong size bearing.

Stock is a 5x11x4

so for a 6mm shaft you want a 6x11x4

FastEddy, Acer & Boca all have some that size
FastEddyBearings.com - Search Results for "6x11x4"

6x11 Bearing 6x11x4 Rubber Bearing MR116-2RS

Boca Bearings - Search Results for 6x11x4

The sizes they have listed are wrong. The front bearing is oversized as listed, the rear bearing needs to be 6x11x4. I had to get them on amazon. Doesn't seem to be a traxxas bearing, or any other "rc" bearing in that size. Mine are from Boca Bearing.

With the holmes 6mm outputs the front bearing remains stock. It doesn't ride on the 5mm/6mm portion of the shaft, no need for special big bearings there.

I think you've got the size wrong on the smaller bearing, unless the complete transmission has different bearings than those that come with the 6mm output conversion.

The 6x11x4mm are common and should be readily available.

When originally posted yesterday the SS page was wrong, said 10x6x4.

I emailed them to let them know there was a possible prob just after posting here & Aaron confirmed later, yep it was a typo, definitely 11x6x4

Where did you find it on Super Shafty's site? I found the bearing specs on the Wraith 6mm output shaft page and it's correct, 6x11x4mm.

EDIT: Never mind, just found the error on RPP.

before I place an order, are these the 2 correct bearing sizes? The order of how the size is listed has me confused. From the SS site, the sizes are 10x6x4 and 16x10x5. At Avid's site, the order of the sizing is different. Avid's has it listed as 6x10x4 and 10x16x5. Are these Avid bearings the right sizes? Here are the links:

10x16 Bearing 10x16x5 Rubber Bearing MR1016-2RS/B5

Yep, those are the correct 2 bearings.

The bearing numbers are literally the Outside diam, the Inside diam & the thickness of the bearing.
The thickness is always listed last but the other 2 sizes are commonly interchangeable depending on brand.

so a 11x6x4 is exactly the same size as a 6x11x4

The front bearing is stock size, it rides on the shoulder in front of the gear, 8mm diameter on the shoulder, 16mm major diameter.

The rear bearing rides on the output. Stock bearing is 11x5x4, 5mm for the 5mm output. 6mm output requires an 11x6x4 bearing.

I have the SuperShafty 6mm outputs, not the Holmes. The SS 6mm outputs actually comes with 3 bearings. I don't have my camera right now, so I can't take a picture. Now that I know what the 2 bearings are, I also need to know the 3rd bearing size. So far, I'm ordering the 6x11x4 and the 10x16x5. Then, what is the size of the 3rd bearing of the SS 6mm outputs?

I just used a metal ruler to measure the 3rd bearing, and it seems to be a 15x21x4. It is the same size stock, according to the manual. So, is that the correct size I need to order also, for my SS 6mm outputs?

Yep, stock size at the 8mm and 15mm bearing surface, and the 6x11x4 on the rear output. Same as ours, since we also made them for SS.

I don't want to be excessively picky but to avoid confusion it needs to be noted the stock Axial front output bearing is 8x16x5 NOT 10x16x5.
The SS 6mm outputs I got a bit over a year ago take a 10x16x5 at the front.

I didn't change the front bearing. So whatever the stock bearing is fits the HH 6mm. I had to order a rear bearing.

Only the HH or SS 6mm outputs take a 10x16x5 at the front.

You are right about the stock bearing, I wasn't paying enough attention. Mine use 8mm and always have. The old style SS uses 10mm. The newer SS versions I redesigned also take the stock 8mm. The 8mm bearing is stronger.

Ah ha, that makes sense now then, I know my SS 6mm outputs came with the 10mm bearing but I've had them a over a year now.
Have edited my post to not confuse regarding HH or newer SS outputs.

All good, carry on. lol

the picture of the 6mm output shaft at the SS website is of the older version. If I order now, will I get the older version, or the newer one?
