Default Testing Interest - Compact Front Shock Mounts for the Wraith

Just checking to see how many people might be interested in these. I made them for my 1.9 Wraith to get the shocks stood up, and to get the ride height level after flipping the rear chassis mount.

Just something small, clean, and simple. No cutting of the hood necessary.

If enough people are interested I'll do a run of them.

I just built a set myself. I had to chamfer the bottom screw hole as the shock would hit the screw head.
I made a set for the rear as well to get the shock a little up and forward. I did not flip the rear

The front is lowered about 14mm and the rear about 15mm. No changes to hood.

Thats a cool design, but the problem im running into with my 1.9 wraith is panhard issues with the shocks in the stock positions. Either hitting the chassis or the axle with 100mm shocks

Shim the shocks out at the top, and move them to the outside of the bracket on the axle.

Installed on my 2.2 Wraith, using GMade 103mm shocks all around. Minor shimming required to keep things clear.

Installed on my 1.9 Wraith, using 95mm Ofna shocks. No shimming due to the built in standoffs.

can they be mounted to have the shock mounted towards the rear? I'm guessing they can be.

It really depends on the size of the shocks and the length of the wheelbase you're running because the chassis tube above the stock locations will be in the way. The mount will physically fit either direction.

On my 1.9 the shocks bump the cage when they are towards the back. Ofna shocks are kinda on the skinny side. But really, the whole idea of these is to move them forward, not backward.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Why is it beneficial to move the shocks forward?

I'm currently building a 1.9 wraith.

When the shocks are excessively angled in towards the chassis, the spring and oil rates progressively get weaker the further the suspension cycles up.
