| Servo
I'm new to the rc world. I have purchased a axial wraith with stock electronics. I've stripped my stock servo and been looking into the solar d772. Will I have issues putting it on and running it or is there more to it to run that servo? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |

At 368 oz-in you'll probably need an external BEC to run it without browning out and/or frying the internal BEC.

Thanks for the reply. But this is probably a dumb question. What is a bec? And is there a certain one I need? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |

If you need plug and play becs, talk to heyok. You may want more torque than that too, but its still better than the stockers for 2.2s. Run an aluminum clamping servo horn with it, I use racers edge, but whatever brand you can get. As well as minimum alu steering links. Otherwise the servo will flop a lot. At nearly 400 oz-in your servo will turn 2.2" tires/wheels without a problem. I'm running 333 oz-in on the front and 200 oz-in on the rear of my Wraith. The rear steer is a little weak compared to the front but still gets the job done. Some do just fine with 200 oz-in up front. An aluminum servo horn/arm and aluminum (or steel, titanium, etc.) steering linkage would help as well if you don't already have these installed. | |

I thought the solar servo was great for the money, mine lasted one run before the gears stripped....

If you check out Holmes Hobbies they sell a premade y harness made for the bec. It's like 7 dollars but for me it was well worth it. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk |

Or.....just simply get the HeyOK "No Brainer" BEC and be done with it. It's a plug -n- play unit and is adjustable. No Brainer BEC Personally I didn't really like the Solar servo, the quality just isn't there (you get what you pay for) Do yourself a favor and get either a Savox SW-1210SG High torque water proof servo, a Savox SC-1256TG high torque titanium gear servo or a Hitec HS-7955TG high torque titanium gear servo. (along with the BEC) |

I'm running a Savox SA1230SG (500 oz/in @ 6v) in front and a Solar D772 (417 oz/in @ 7.4v) in the rear. I use HeyOK "No Brainer" BEC's for both. BEC's are Plug-N-Play, easy peasy to set up. Works great for me. I'm a Basher, I don't Comp. Of course when you add that much torque you have to beef up everything else along the line for it to hold up. Semper Fi Smitty |
