Default Backwards Wraith

Hello forum. Bit of a strange question, but has anyone ever setup a wraith with the cage reversed like a cab-over Trials truck?? just been looking at pictures online, all it would take is to swap the steering gear to the rear axle and it would even have the battery "up front" , some minor cage trimming and walah. done.

cab-over, flat bed "mongo" looking trials truck.

just a thought, let me know what yall think.

nice, i feel it needs that half of the cab removed for the full effect, but very cool truck ^

The Mighty FC is more what i had visioned, so perhaps now that the FC body is available, the panels could be made to work with the backwards wraith cage??

Holy crap i think your onto something. Was going to mention the FC and how about the old Ford front cab elconline van "Little Red"...Funny thing, I'm in the process of rebuilding my 4 year old wraith and was ready to post a build, then this threat showed up.it's due for a change.
Was almost going to chop the rear to make a fast back look that everybody doing, but now that i seen this i may change my mine.
How about Cab FWD GMC or Chevy....
I hope you don't mine if decide to do it.If I don't do it someone for sure will...
Simply a great idea...Just looking at that Photo shop gets me excited...
You watch I'm sure you see more of these builds pop up now that Axial release the Mighty FC...

This is very interesting. I was also looking at just moving the entire skid back one hole on the 4 chassis mount holes. So instead of having the front wheels sticking out far, having the fronts in the wheel wells and having the rear wheels moved back. It would put more weight further forward and help a lot with steep climbs. Got a chassis on the way now so I can try it. OP, you mind if I post it in this thread? We can make this the official "weird Wraith chassis" thread.

Really sounds like a plan.Ya never know moving it back might help.i was thinking of using the scx10 axles little more narrow, this way we might be able to tuck the front wheels in,under the front cab,but use the wraith cage for sure.
I think the best thing to do is start are own build thread so we could see each other build and we could get more input on this "Weird Wraith Chassis".
I would call it "Wraith Cab To the Future"
As for to start a photo thread might have to be up to the Moderator...
Now wish i would have gotten the Mighty FC body instead of Nukizer 715 body, and i ain't chopping it up either.
Let me know your progress Screamer cause i know i'm going to try.
And thank to
Klampykixx from Australia for the great idea...

or this would be cool....

So many possibilities...ok one more, with a lift kit of coarse...

No problems at all for posting links to threads here for sure. Use this thread as you wish, im just happy to have sparked conversation

I have actually done the mod of shifting the skid backwards in a forward cage to fit under a proline xj body. Works well

i dont know where all the photos went, but this is about the best one i can find.

note the rear link position. attached to the screw that holds the cage to the skid. helped to shorten the overall wheelbase.
