Default Spawn body windows, and battery fit question.

I bought a used poison spider for a great deal because the body has been beaten badly.

I picked up a Spawn kit body as a replacement.

Do most people cut the windows out to have access to the inside or is there an easier way?

Also the battery tray is currently in the back trunk area. Is there a way to make it bigger? My scx10 fits all my 2s 5000 mah perfectly but the wraith doesn't.

Thanks,

Mike

I believe my Spawn RTR came with all the windows out except for the front. No problems fitting a 2s in the rear compartment, but most people relocate the battery to directly in front of the interior and rear of the receiver box. Mine is relocated to under the drivers seat.

getting the battery in and out of the back was way too painful for me.

I bought the regular wraith body panel kit and put the battery up front.

Removal is actually a bit of a pain...I am not currently using my Spawn body either.

Thanks, I just bought the Spawn and finished the cutting so that sucks. Where does it go up front?

Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to post pics to this forum, some kind of special process there I guess...

Or search google images for "wraith battery relocation"

I used "dabox" to move the items up front

Ok so I was looking at some pics online and think I like the pull tab idea instead of having to screw the body to the frame.

Is there a simple way to do this conversion?

I run this with the short posts, works beautifully except an occasional lost clip.

Thanks,

Does it only lock down the front?

I have a scx10 parts tree here for the hood pins that I'm trying to find a way to make work.

No, you replace the 4 screws on the side of the Spawn with them.
