YR Knuckles rub

I have a new to me wraith and it seems the yeah racing knuckles that are on it are causing the drive cup to rub on the Axial alum c hub. Please see pic. all the correct hardware is there including the bushings. Not sure if I should take a dremel or what ? http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/x...leForShare.jpg

Wow. Never seen that before. Have you done the xr10 conversion on it?

Something is wrong with the way the upper outer "C" and upper inner "C" meet and that is not the correct hardware.

Wrong knuckle on that side? Do the have a L and R?

Re: YR Knuckles rub

The different screw you see was for picture taking purpose only. I checker YR website page and the screws I took out were correct. The knuckles are not labeled L or R and if I switch them wont they not work at all ? Will try that later tonight. Other than than it is new to me like I said and not sure or anything else (xr10)

Re: YR Knuckles rub

Certainly appears the pockets for the bearings in the knuckle is machined incorrectly, too high.

It does have the large inner bearing in the knuckle doesn't it?

It would appear your only option is to just touch the inside top of the C-hub lightly with the dremel to clearance it.

Re: YR Knuckles rub

I'd bet a Axial knuckle would fit just fine... what's the backside of the knuckle look like?

Re: YR Knuckles rub

Ok the more I look and see is a second hand rig. It's XR chub not wraith

Re: YR Knuckles rub

what do you mean second hand rig? XR chub ?

Re: YR Knuckles rub

Like you bought it used. .

The Axial chub that you have is for an Axial XR and I assume the knuckle is for a wraith and that's why there is some interference.

that inner bearing on the knuckle don't look right..

Re: YR Knuckles rub

I have the book that came with it, it shows the chub as part # AX30762. I looked it up on ebay and it does say for xr10. So Im confused between what is an xr10 and a wraith as the book says wraith right on it ? here is a close up pic of the chub. Sorry about the size.http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/x...909_204751.jpg

Re: YR Knuckles rub

The xr10 and wraith chubs are the same. Are you sure your axle stubs are tight in the bearings on the knuckle? They look funky...Maybe its the picture angle...

I'm pretty sure The c hub isn't on the right way. That is why the drive shaft isn't horizontal and its on an angle. If you have a look at the knuckle and the c hub they arnt the same lengths on either side ( the top arm on the c hub is shorter than the other). All you need to do is a half backfilp with each c hub and fit them back on.

Re: YR Knuckles rub

the inner bearing is not seated correctly, take it out and try again, it is cocked in the bore (dont ask me how I know lol) once its seated correctly, it will be fine.
