Default 1320king's scx axled wraith

picked up a wraith spawn kit off of craigslist assembled but never ran

I cant stand the wheelbase on the wraiths so i installed some scx10 axles and shortened it to 12.3"

the axial methods will be going onto my wroncho i stole the axles from.

ill be purchasing the method 105 2.2s and stretching either 1.9 rockbeasts or 1.9 growlers over top of them

heres what it looks like now

heres the wroncho with the old wraith axles

Custom made short links, same way you adjust the wheelbase on any rig.

I did the same to my Wraith to run SCX10 axles, hated it! Changed it back to 2.2/AR60's the following weekend.
With the long Wraith skid & short links it did nothing well, didn't side hill, didn't climb, didn't crawl. Was horrible.

I recently changed it an SCX10 skid & links, same/similar wheel base as before but longer links & it now performs much better.

I have the means to cut my own chassis rails to mount the SCX10 skid but The Scale Shop (TSS) makes & sells the WRX10 Wraith Chassis Rails to use the nice short AX10 skid.

ive built 3 wraiths in the past all on scx axles and they crawled great. the plastic chassis is really light so you have to mount all your weight down low to keep a good CG, like what you did by adding the ladder frame. i am going to buy some beef tubes and wrap some lead rope around the wheels to give it some weight. I like to run a little 2200mah battery to keep weight off of the upper half of the rig

I glad yours worked, mine didn't & it was horribly evident when along side some mod'd & some almost stock SCX10's.

I use mine still with the SCX10 skid & links as my 1.9 U4RC rig now.
