| Best steering linkage for the money
I'm tired of rebuilding the pivot balls in the steering links. Is there a low maintenance set up? Currently in using the strc hd steering link and the revo rod ends don't work with this setup I'm looking a the rc4wd steel rod ends as a result to wallowing out the plastic ends. It seems my hi-tech 7954 just destroys plastic rod ends quickly! So I'm tried of trial&error and just wasting money on a part that seems to be the last weak point on my rig. It's not that I'm breaking the rod ends, they just get stretched out and become sloppy. So would the rc4wd steel rod ends be the fix? Does any vendor make a end all set-up? This is get to be a PITA cause the strc use a 3mm screw. I've thought about tapping the linkage to accept the 4mm revo ends, but I don't know if that would be best? So any help would be awesome !

Those still use plastic rod ends. My link's are not the problem,it's the plastic ends get stretched out thus creating slop.

If I was to use a link that incorporated the revo rod ends would that be enough?

My Wraith has a HS-7950 servo which is stronger than the HS-7954 and I have not had any issues with the rod ends. As you stated the Revo rod ends don't work with the STRC links, thus the reason I suggested you get new links. | ||

The Axial plastic rods ends stretch and wear out a lot faster than the Revo ends (such as used on the VP stuff). ETA: Beaten to it. |

So if I just tapped the strc link's to accept the revo ends my problem would be solved? Or would the wheels be toed in?

+1 for the Revo ends. Is your steering binding / servo pushing the links past their natural travel arch? That could cause premature wear. |
