Default Yeah Racing Quality

Has anyone used the Yeah Racing wraith parts for sometime and feel that they are good quality, or are they not worth the trouble? I spoke to a guy at my LHS and he informed me that Year Racing is not that different from Intengy, if someone could chime in just curious. Ultimately i know vanquish is the best there is but my wallet cant afford that right now.

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Only thing i've run from Yeah Racing is motor fans and they were OK and not on a Wraith. I'd save up for VP parts and only buy once verses chancing repeat buys and spending more cash down the road. Just my .02

Yeah Racing quality is an oxymoron, like military intelligence or jumbo shrimp.

The middle quality aluminum parts are better than plastic. The high end aluminum parts are better than both.

Honestly, I've run the higher end stuff in the front and stock plastic stuff in the rear and had an excellent time. I blinged out my son's rig with blue Integy parts, and they have held up to him driving like a 7 year old (and he's actually 7). So, the people that say the cheap stuff is garbage are really beating the crap out of their trucks.

I bought the Yeah Racing set, and regret it. My front wheels had positve camber with the Yeah Racing c-hubs and knuckles, difficult to see on the picture.

The upper link mounts fit well, and no problem fitting the lockouts either, they fit nice and snug. Like the color. Also ordered lower link mounts, they feel nice and look good.

Al the material feels very very light, if it is very very cheap quality aluminium.

The upper link mount looks nice between all the other aluminium goodies.

Verdict: the material feels very tin, will see how it holds. I will not mount the c-hubs/knuckles because of the strange positve camber. Most of the time i do trials thru the forrest, but no rocks here. So even my plastic Wraith parts are still holding on. So i am with IK632 , The middle quality aluminum parts are better than plastic. The high end aluminum parts are better than both.

The parts work best at the part of the car that dont get to much impact. Thinking about the link mounts, or the rear lockouts. I have two Wraith's on will be brushless with Tekin and MMP etc etc. the other one will be brushed Holmes 2s. Ordered Vanquish lockouts for the brushless high power Wraith (already have VP knuckles) and will use the upper and lower link mounts on that one.

Mounted the rest of the stuff to the slower Wraith,( lockouts) .

Verdict 2.: I think the Yeahracing parts are not really an upgrade in strength (except for the lower link mounts) they are just nice for the bling.

I should have gone with a complete Stage one VP set, the YR set has more parts, however some parts in the YR set, not really make sense (weird looking hexes), servo mount.

I agree buy cheap buy twice. Hubs and knuckles were a poor fit and bound up when lock was applied. Also has positive camber when fitted. Binned the lot and bought VP.

Yeah Racing is big in on-road and their stuff is actually pretty good.

As for the Wraith, it all depends on which parts you're going to get for it.

Yes, also bought vp, used the cheap yeah racing parts for my cheap spare wraith build.

Bought a vp truss, vp lockouts and vp chubs. Already have the knuckless. Will update my build topic soon.

I have a Hot Racing fire extinguisher in my wraith. Luckily I havent had a fire so I can't speak to the quality. Ive been eyeing their hi-lift jack as well. Hopefully I'll never need that either. All my stuff that matters is VP, Blue Monkey etc. Buy once, cry once.

I hav the level 1 yeah racing kit on my wraith and beat the everlasting shit out of it. Haven't had one big problem yet. Screws come loose even with blue loctite on the c hubs but that's an easy fix.

Have a few Wraith parts on order to try out. Have quite a few of their parts on my Tamiya's and fit and finish is top notch. A cut above some of the cheaper brands for sure.
