Should i buy a wraith?

Been searching and searching on what platform to start with for my first crawler but cant seem to make up my mind. I really like the wraith and couple buddies have them. Is there any others i should consider? Will be doing mostly just crawling.

If all your buddies have wraiths, get a wraith then. Level playing ground.

The Axial RR10 is official according to their Facebook page. May want to wait for more info on that rig if you're not in a rush. If you're itching to purchase something, the Wraith is a great rig.

Should i buy a wraith?

The better question would be why shouldn't I buy a wraith.
And the aftermarket is just endless for the wraith.

You can get the Wraith Spawn kit on ebay for $279 shipped.

Kit or RTR are the two choices. RTR is pre-assembled and painted; add batteries and go. A kit will require you to supply all the electronics (radio, receiver, servo, ESC and motor), assembly from the ground up and paint to your liking. Most everyone here will recommend a kit - you get some upgraded components, get to customize your electronics and gain a complete understanding of how your rig works. You'll probably spend more building out a kit but you'll also have a rig that is superior to the RTR. Read the stickies on this forum for information on choosing your electronics.

I would just buy a kit and start fresh on your own. "thumbsup"

Couldn't agree more with this statement. I bought a used Twin Hammers because the price was right, then spent more on it to get it the way I wanted it. In the end I would have saved money buying a kit.

Buy through Tower Hobbies, and join their club for $10. You get free shipping on orders of $99 or more, and use their codes, more money off the more you spend......and you can use their easy pay plan which takes the cost and divides it over three months.

Cheers,
Wade

Easy pay and a wraith is the way to go! Buy the kit well worth it and then you know how everything goes together so when it comes time to fix or upgrade you already know what you need to do.

Exactly what I did. Threw some paint, aluminum servo horn, etc at the order and saved $70 on a $379 order

Good idea and more fun when everybody has similar trucks.

That is what I would buy.

Great idea, or RPPHobby and use their coupon code, but they don't do three easy pay like Tower does. "thumbsup"
