How do you like those shocks. I love how they look and was thinking of picking up a set for my wraith.

Yes JDAY the RR10 in kit form would make a good base to start a build and customise to suit.

Dawagner, I haven't run this rig yet but I have a set of G-made 93mm shocks on our SCXU4 and they were quality, easy to put together and perform well on the track, I am hoping these are the same once racing.

Very cool. I really like your Werty cage. Reminds me, I need to get mine powdercoated and installed.

Hi vanwraith001,

Its a Wertymade U4 rear chassis, I was told there's only two made like this.

Don't know about that particular design, but can check Rpp Hobby and CKRC. Werty does awesome custom work, but has a waiting list a couple months long ATM. Still worth sending him a message tho

Yes, his work is definitely worth the wait. I have a couple of his pieces and they are top notch.

Hi All,

Made some progress on the WertyU4, made a front bash guard out of a Traxxas Rustler stock bumper and clocked the C-hubs back a position.

Fitted up the following

MIP Yeti Driveshaft
RPM Rod Ends
Hot Racing Sway Bars

You will battle temps with that motor. I have one and it always runs hot no matter what gearing or load. I am talking 180 at the end of a run, but it's in a SCT that weighs 4.5 pounds on 2S. Leopard sensored motors seem much more resilient to me and I have no temp issues even though I gear more aggressively.

Thanks MeanTT,

I was running it on 3S in my U4 yeti which seemed to be fine with temps, but racing heats are only ~5 minutes long, the WertyU4 is lighter and has lower gearing so hopefully last the distance for the same style racing.

Cheers for the advice
Marc

Uses hpi brand spider gears & pin in the diff cup to unlock the front end, same as a Yeti but by most reports a better gear set than the Axial.
Stuff it with 1mill weight diff fluid (gel) to get an limited slip effect

Hi All,

Had a productive weekend (nights), final assembly and start the electrics, relocated battery for a lower fit in the chassis.
