I use 103mm gmade piggyback shocks. They have a ton of useable adjustability and the dual rate collars and springs from proline shocks fit them for more tuning. The only downside I have experienced is that they are pretty bulky (obviously) and somewhat limit placement.

I'm running hot racing 103mm internal spring shocks. No complaint here after fixing an over dampening concern. 3 different spring choices and even with the stiffest springs its pretty soft. My rig is around 8 lbs or so though.

Proline Powerstroke slash rears on all four corners. Right now I'm using the stock proline springs, but I've got the full spring kit to do some tuning with when it stops raining.

I've been debating on what shocks to run on my build. Liking what I read on the powerstroke rears but really like the internal sprung look. For now I'm going to rebuild the stock stopping leaks and testing different springs with pistons. Hopefully I can get something to work. |

G Made 103mm Piggybacks on mine and i really like them. I'm running mine with the 4 hole pistons and springs that come with them, and they seem to do fairly well while trailing and some mild rock crawling. The only thing is the springs are a little stiff when running the wraith on a fast run in rough terrain.

| Re: What shocks are you running??? I see Boomerang all over IG and have been trying to find more on them. Very good looking and with working reservoir but I'm not sure they could handle some abuse. |

My rig is 10lbs. I have one pro-line leaking already. I'm going to try Teflon tape the threads today. But I like the looks of boomerang for a bomber. Ty J.E.C RACING |

For a Bomber I would use Boomerang. But on my Wraith I use Proline Powerstrokes Slash Rears all around

Traxxas plastic rear shocks all round. Stock soft Wraith springs with 30wt. You can use the stock spring retainer as the Traxxas one is a little too big for the Axial springs. Cheep and easy to fix/replace. |

| Re: What shocks are you running??? Gmade Gtransitions setup in droop for that LCG w/ 30wt oil and 3 hole pistons. Its strictly a crawler so it may not be the setup you want for your application. However it also can be set up for sprung with your option of whatever hole piston and oil you want to use. |

RC4WD king shocks medium OD with a mix of axial and losi O-rings the rc4wd O-rings are garbage and don't fit int the shock body or tightly around the shock shaft so I went around and found some integy rebuild kits I had laying round and the O-rings worked perfect took and extra of the couple O-rings to the hobby shop and matched up some that worked. its a red fat o-ring and it fits tight around the shaft on the shock and is real snug going into the shock body seals the shocks perfectly and they work good. now they still suck to fill properly with oil and I like powerstrokes or prospec shocks until there is something better. the proline stuff just bleads really well and operate properly. but rc4wd medium od king or proline stuff they both have a good selection of quality spring rates for tuning Last edited by mrhobby100; 12-30-2015 at 12:02 AM. |
