Default Wraith Spawn With HH Components

I am just getting back into RC's after a 25 year break. I've bought myself and the kids a Yeti and Bomber, both RTR. I also have a Spawn kit on the way and and was thinking about powering it with Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro BL 540 Standard 3500kv or 2200kv brushless motor and a Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BLE Pro ESC. Though I intend to do quite a bit of crawling, I see this being a trail rig and want to add some go fast ability to it. Any opinions would be great.

I run the 3500 and love the setup in my Wrath. HH is a sweet brushless setup.

I just installed the same system but with the 3300kv stubby on 3s. Awesome smooth torque for the crawling but then to much wheel speed for those go fast areas.. ;)
I think your going to love it.
Oh and welcome back..

I just talked with Holmes himself about a good motor for my Wraith. He said he would go with a BL Pro Standard 2200 kv on 3S. Then if you want more wheel speed, you can just do a bigger pinion.

Plan is to run it on 3s. Thanks for the help guys. Did Holmes have a suggestion for the pinion size for the 2200.

im running the trailmaster pro 3300kv and trailmaster pro esc in my spawn kit. Im running a 10t pinion, it crawls great and still has plenty of wheelspeed. Its a blast on 3s
HH makes great stuff you wont be disappointed.

FWIW go ahead and install all metal trans gears when you build the kit. The stock plastic idler will last about 10 minutes with 3s brushless. Ask me how I know
