Default Stripped Screw

Hey everyone, went to go take apart my wraith but two of the screws holding the lower links into the skid plate are stripped. How do I go about getting these out?

Drill off the bolt heads , then once the skids out use pliers to unscrew the rest.

If the hex has rounded out you might be able to get a .063 driver to bite in it.

Only other thing that comes to mind is cut the link end & ball so you can get to the screw & then wind it out with a pair of pliers.

Replace the standard steel screws
with stainless steel screws and a better quality driver (hardened tip).

SS is harder and rounds out less easily then mild steel.

if yer using the bondhus ball driver's...
you can expect those and the original screw heads
to become rounded out promptly.

Precise fitting hardened drivers
eliminate the slop of ball drivers.
And cause less screw socket stripping.
Even if retaining the original mild steel screws.

Unfortunately... straight cut driver tips
are not capable of driving at angle.

So for that reason...
ball driver's still have a place in my repair kit.

Im using a tool kit from integy. I think there was a little bit of dirt in the head causing it to strip out. Guess Im just gonna have to drill it out and hope for the best.

If you can lay you hands on one a 3/32" left hand drill might bite the end of the screw enough to drive it back out before it bites in enough to drill.
