Default Wraith gets slower the longer it's run

I have a wraith with stock electronics (20t motor and ae5). When running it on a 3s it gets slower the longer I run it. Running it on 2s I have no issues. When running it on 3s it will get noticeably slower within a couple minutes of running on a full charge, like half speed. I don't think it's the battery because it acts the same with two separate 3s lipos and the batteries are fine on other trucks. Not sure if the 3s is possibly overheating the esc or motor but neither is noticeably hot to the touch. Any ideas on what be causing this?
Thanks

Chances are its overheating check temps when it starts to slow should not be over 150

I've not been able to find any ratings for the axial 20t motor but I'm sure that is where the problem is now. Today I ran a full 2s battery with no issues. Put in the 3s and in under 2 mins it slowed to a crawl and the magic smoke started pouring out the motor. I let it cool down and it will still run great on 2s. Just gonna get a new motor and be done with it. Thanks

That esc is 3s capable and I have run my 20t axial motor on 3s plenty and it was fine.

check your mtr's pinion/spur mesh.
ensure that there is a slight backlash.

check your drive line to ensure it rolls freely
remove the mtr's pinion gear and observe

How many batt. cycles have been run thru ?
brushes don't last forever on a 20T sporting 3s
Could be you've simply worn it out ?

Put a different motor in
and see if the same scenario plays out.

RTR ?
factory 80/20 with a 20T mtr ?

Is your ae5 set to LiPo ? W an LVC ?
