So I just bought me an axial wraith (poison spider). I really wanted one for my last deployment but didn't think I would be able to get parts often so held off on getting one. But my wife finally blessed off on letting me get one. On the second day my servo went out I think. It makes a lot of clicking noises and barely turn. Harley Designes had a huge impact on me getting the poison spider wraith. Do I need a new servo or is there something I need to do to my stock servo? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You need a new servo. The Axial RTR servos are marginal at best and are usually one of the first components to fail. There are plenty of servo recommendations here so I won't comment except to say spend as much as you can afford the first time around and be done with it.

Could be the plastic servo horn stripped out and not the servo. I think there are some extra ones on the spare parts tree.

Those extra horns each have a different spline count for different servo manufacturers. Better off getting an aluminum one, preferably the clamping type. Axial and Robitronic make good ones. I have both. I run a Hitec 7954sh and Castle bec on my wraith. Kind of a pricey invesment but well worth it. Steering is the last place you wanna skimp on a crawler. Welcome and thanks for your service. |
