Probably either the plastic trans gears or your dog bones. The links won't break but they will gain the structural rigidity of rubber bands after a month or so.

C-hubs, knuckles, drive shafts, and servo was my first failures. Steering didn't actually break, but it was rubbery and at times it would cause problems when in a bind.

Servo probably. The spawn comes with the upgraded universals not the dog bones so you're good there.

My Spawn came with dog bones. Glad they started including universals from the start. Those dog bones are a bad joke.

When I was stock the servo went first. That was my only breakage but I've been upgrading the known problem areas as quickly as possible.

| Re: what will brake first? Oh my bad I forgot that I got the kit version not the rtr. That might be just one of the upgrades the kit includes. Also comes with metal lower links. I forget if that was all.

I broke a rear lower link in my RTR and stock electronics with only about an hour of play time. I wasn't even really doing anything, just flat ground and in sand no less. It must have been a molding defect because when I replaced them with aluminum links I tried to break another (by hand) and couldn't. Next up was the front dog bones. Beside that I had a lot of screws come loose before I removed them all and put blue thread locker on everything. Three years on I finally stripped a tranny gear but this is after a whole lot of hard use with a Tekin Redline 13.5 on 3S /4S and large paddle tires. Still running the stock drive shafts. |

so lots knowledgeable people here, and the first thing I broke(upgraded some parts right out of the box) was one of the rear wheel adaptors. and egged out the axle. I think it broke the drive pin in half but I am not sure as I never found it Last edited by THX_138; 04-30-2016 at 08:40 AM. |
