Default Robison gen3 slipper

Waist of money or decent product?

Being a newb, I bought one used without searching beforehand. I noticed right away after receiving it that my top shaft was not going to work with it. I figured out that I either needed an older shaft that uses a pin for the slipper/spur or just upgrade to the Supershafty version. My top shaft is slotted...

Having taken a decade off from RC, I just assumed that Robison was the good stuff. Have their products gone down hill over the past few years? After a quick search, it seemed that people where having issues with this particular slipper.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cool. Thanks, guys. I already have the Robison idler gear and one piece locker so it made sense. I should start a build thread. You could point out my mistakes as I make them.

You must have a Spawn with the dual slipper spur, yeah it's got a different top shaft to the other Wraiths.
Have you got the RR Wraith 80T slipper?
I'm not sure if that slipper is a direct fit with the SuperShafty top shaft, the shaft has a 2mm cross pin to suit the 2wd Slash slipper.
The stock top shaft only has a 1.5mm cross pin & the Robinson 80T slipper might only have a pocket to suit that.
Which is not to say the pocket couldn't be opened slightly with a dremel to suit the SS 2mm pin, just it might not bolt straight up.
