Default Incision VDI Question

Hey guys, just picked up the Incision VDI's. Install went alright. The longer axle didn't just slide right in. Seemed to be angled wrong. Outside bearing is seated right as far as I can tell. Is there in inside bearing? Got the longer axle in with a little persuasion. Now the instructions say that the Chub might need to be filed down but mine seems to be clear with a SMALL gap. My question is that now its binding when I go to steer. Anyone else having this issue because I can't see anything visibly causing it to bind up or am I just being stupid? lol

Should be 2 bearings in the knuckle & 1 in the end of the C-hub. Outer knuckle & C-hub bearing same size, inner knuckle is larger.
If no inner knuckle bearing installed shaft will be moving out & pulling the uni joint out of alignment with the king pins, causing binding.

there are no bearings in the C-hubs or lock-outs, they're in the end of the axle tube and if one is not seated properly it can cause binding in the u-joint and knuckle when everything is bolted together

Yeah alright, guilty as charged on that one, on the front technically the bearing is in the housing tube not the C-hub, though if the C-hub is still on the housing it all looks the same.

But I contest your assertion (aka I think you're mistaken) on there being no bearing in the lock-out, that's exactly where the bearing is, there is no bearing in the end of the housing on the rear.

Was only that in your original post you asked if there was an inner bearing I even mentioned them.

actually, yes there is a bearing in the rear lockout, in nearly the same location as the outer knuckle bearing up front and nothing in the rear axle housing. my Wraith is front/rear steer so I had to dig up a lockout and rear axle to remind myself what was going on back there before the rear-steer conversion
