Default Please God would somebody help!!

I've read the guide for motor/gearin..... I'm just getting myself even more confused. I just need to know what gearing I should be running in my "Wroncho" build. It's come time to get this thing wrapped up so I need to order my gears. So here's the info. This started life as my RTR spawn so it has 32 pitch gears stock as of right now. I will be running a Tekin 35 turn brushed motor also I am running RC4wd iroks. Which are a fairly large tire. This truck is mainly used for trail running and medium duty rock crawling every now and then. I realize that I have to sacrifice speed for more torque but I'm hoping for a happy medium

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You can go with a 30t Holmes hobbies torque master motor and a Holmes hobbies brushed ESC, or you can go with a castle mmp ESC and a tekin roc 412 3100kv brushless set up. I have had both and they both are a good combo, just depends on how much you want to spend and if you go brushless you need to go sensored and upgrade your drivetrain, with brushed you can stay stock for quite awhile....

I run Irocks on my wraith as well, with no issues at the gear ratio of 5.09:1

He's asking God for gearing advice. Not motor advice.

Just buy a small pinion. Check motor temps. Not hot, add a tooth or two. Not hard really.

Yup too many people get so caught up in these things they confuse themselves. No need to be afraid to fail, just stab a pinion on the motor and give it a go. If it doesn't have enough speed but the low end torque is decent then volt up. 3s, never less.

I settled at 56/9, 32p with my Holmes 30t. On 3s, its faster than I can walk and the motor/esc barely gets warm. Havent changed the pinion since summer but now that its not 100*+ outside, I could put my 11t back on. But I really havent felt the need...

I started with a 11T pinion and its great for trailing. Good WS for hill climbs but still slow/smooth for technical sections..

I ordered a 9 and an 11 tooth to try out. We'll see how that works out. Thanks for all the replies.

Don't forget the digital temp gun to check you motor and esc temperature with each different gear you try.

I was going to ask earlier but changed my mind. I believe it's a typo in his edited cell phone signature (those "sent from my whatever portable/mobile device").

shoppe
SHäp,ˈSHäpē/
noun:
a deliberately archaic spelling of shop, used in the hopes of imbuing a store with old-fashioned charm or quaintness.

I do it all the time, form instead of from, teh instead of the, sometimes I catch them, sometimes I don't. That's why some of my posts get edited.
