Default Waiting Dragon's Wraith Class3
So I built a Wraith from take off parts, out of the classifieds mostly, about 4 years ago when they first came out. I never did a build thread as I have never done anything really special with it, is always been more of a "cookie cutter". I think for right now I would like to start out with some of the current specs, and old and current progress pictures, then eventually, and hopefully I will take it in a whole new direction...

So for now the basics:

Stock axial wraith cage with DC rubiwraith body.
Tranny front half/motor mount from S3Racing(now defunct), VP rear half.
All RR metal gears in tranny, w/HH chromolly outputs.
MIP driveshafts.
Tekin Pro4 HD 3500kv, and Castle MMP.
CC BEC.
Futaba S9157 steering servo.
Tekin B1R ESC for winch control.
Quicksand winch.
MadDog RC 4 1/2 inch light bar, and Pods for headlights.
Maxamps, and Traxxas 3s batteries.
Controlled by a 4PKS with Tx.

Front axle:
VP V1 axle housing.
S3Racing spool.
Axial bevel overdrive gears.
VP C hubs, and Knucles.
Axial universals
VP CMS kit.

Rear axle:
VP V1 axle housing.
VP lockouts.
Axial bevel underdrive gears.
S3Racing spool.
Axial straight axles.

Wheels and tires:
2.2 PitBull rock beasts.
Rc4wd 2.2 Hitman wheels.
Crawler Innovations 2 stage 5.5 inch foams, soft fronts, medium rears.

Thanks, so far I have only driven it around my house, climbed concrete stairs outside, and some speed runs on the driveway, I like it, I think I'm going to like it a lot, I can tell already, just have to keep it from going bad by getting excess water. I had it waterproofed by Holmes Hobbies, and I am going to add a coat of RTV silicone to go further!

A little more insurance on the electronics, RTV silicone on the motor, and on the ESC, the output shaft side on the motor has all the extra mounting holes filled with SS screws, and locktite! Electronics were WP by Holmes Hobbies, looks to me they did a great job, thanks a lot JRH!

The ESC that controls the Winch, and the receiver are going to share the fuel cell out in the rear!
