Default No Reverse

I have a wraith but I think this is an electronics problem. I cant get reverse to work. I run a brushed setup and have replaced everything trying to get this fixed. I am currently running the holmes hobbies ble esc with a castle bec and a brushed holmes hobbies motor. I have used castle link to set the esc to brushed and crawl reverse. No luck. I replaced the stock receiver with a futaba 3pm-2.4g mx fast. I can't figure this out any suggestions???

Have you checked the settings on your transmitter?
But chances are its in the ESC settings. I know a lot of dirt racing (and carpet) require you to remove the reverse setting when racing and I am 99% sure they do it via the ESC.

I used the castle link to program the esc. I have it set for crawler reverse. This is baffling me but I'm sure its something silly I am missing.

Maybe this will help. I have never used that type of ESC, but my buddy was having somewhat similar issues setting up his ESC on his Associated B5.

That video was very helpful. I still cant get reverse to work. It is like the controller is not sending a reverse signal. It does exactly like the video says for forward throttle and then when I switch to reverse throttle the ESC never seems to get a signal.

^ video link fail, for me, but maybe it demonstrated set up procedure (TX - ESC calibration) !?

so besides the binding process
and ESC programming...

did you do the set up procedure (calibration) for the TX - ESC ?

ie: plug battery in to ESC... ~ assuming all is connected/properly ~
while holding TX full throttle listen for beeps, then reverse listen for beeps, then neutral.
Lights stop blinking I guess. (follow the instructions below)

Yes, that is what I am doing but the ESC never recognizes the reverse throttle.

I think I figured it out. The controller had throttle reverse programed into it. I turned it off and now both directions seem to be working.
