Stock ESC OR MOTOR BURN..???

Hello,

I've just finished replacing all screws in my Wraith Spawn which doesn't look like a spawn quite a long time since I've made my own exterior ferings changed the steering bar added lights and stickers and enjoyed the rig for the past two months in almost every surface!!!!

When I placed the stock esc and all the electronics and put my 2s lipo 4000 mah which is good for the stock AE-5 Esc and was working since now some the rig rolled without turning on the power switch or the transmitter and smoke came out from the esc... I removed the battery checked everything and put back again and the same happened. Smoke out from esc and rig moving without switching on.

Now questions...

Is the stock esc burnt or the motor?

If esc is burnt what alternanates do I have to keep playing with my stock motor and be prepared for the next motor upgrade?

If the motor is burnt which is the next step for more bashing which the stock esc?

I think it's safe to say that the esc is toast. To test the motor, touch its wires to the battery and see if it moves; try it reversed also.

Thanks man, what's your opinion about the new esc?

Shouldn't it be one much better to welcome a new motor in the future? Which one do you suggest?
