Without getting the uppers link mounts more in line with the lowers, I couldn't get it to behave at all like I wanted. It really seemed to screw with the geometry.

This should explain what I was talking about the front not being the shocks or the links

So you've just made a suck down winch. I've thought about that but never ran with it. Definitely a first I've seen on an RC.

Yeah, I'm not reinventing the wheel on some of these ideas, but I am applying as much as I can from the full size world.

I got it all prepped up for Saturday's comp at RCE. The rig worked well and only had a couple rookie mistakes. I could have paced it a bit quicker, but still posted a respectable score. New matte black wrap for the hood looks much better.

The video is a bit long, but you can see how well it crawls even on a pretty slick rock.

It's like Christmas, got a second set of wheels, these are from The Scale Shop, and a full set of proline 5" powerstrokes from RPP. Now I can finally do some good head to head tire setup testing and get this puppy longtravelled.

I feel like I need to fix Axialis design every step of the way, but here is the first of the 5" proline powerstrokes going on.

Finished the shocks both front and rear. I still need to work on Springs, but I'm pretty close.
Ride height

Full bump

Full droop

And of course a flex

Some of the upper mount. Yes it's ugly but I'm working on function first.

Full droop

Full bump

Flex

My biggest priority was no binding through the entire range of movement with the 5 inch shocks and proper geometry.

I got the idea from another thread on here to make a vertical climb board to test the rig's ability. I was able to climb 65 degrees. Yes I am using the suck down winch, but I am real happy to see all my crazy Tire ideas and the new suspension design work so well.
