| Used Wraith, what to look for
Currently trying to hunt down a used Wraith for my son. I had built him a Tekno SCT410, but at his age he isn't interested in racing. So i,ve been trying to find a decent trade on Facebook. What should I be looking for? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

Well I would start with something that has aluminum C's lockouts and knuckles already. Are you looking for a roller or RTR? There are always a few for sale all over the place.

Just find one that is not super well used, thats the key. Al knuckles and C's are meh, NBD in my opinion. Upgrades are good, but that is most of the fun, especially for the young ones. I'd maybe look for a kit version VS an RTR that way you get front universals, probably a servo that is not junk, sticky R35 tires. Personally I'd buy one from here or ebay way before facebook. |

For as young as he is I would find him a bone stock one and gear it so that it isn't terribly quick. Let him play with it until he breaks something and then teach him to save his money or do chores for replacement parts. Works with me nephew pretty well. He loves to play with his truck but if he breaks something he has to do chores for his mom to earn money to get new parts. Box stock you can have a lot of fun with them. I would even say just find a good deal on an scx10. They can be had for pretty cheap $200 ish bucks with some upgrades and go have fun |

Just like mr. rick said, find one stock and keep it geared down. I did the same with my son and now we enjoy modding/fixing it together. Keep in mind if you buy used that you might need to replace some bearings. Good luck! Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

I am sorry, I didn't see it was for your son, probably don't need those alum pieces yet. My son needed a light slipper setting and an aluminum servo horn, not much else broke.

If it was me I'd give him a SCX10.
