Default Motor Shaft Short?

Should I be concerned? The grub has a full bite on the flat spot, but the shaft is short of the end of the pinion. Are there any specific shims for the motor plate?

Yep, fine. And if he flips the pinion what do you think the set screw will grab? Air?

Ya, it's a Spawn kit. Has that aluminum spur gear spacer. Everything seems to be assembled according to the manual. If the slipper driveshaft were set back any further it'd poke out the back of the trans case. I'll go with what Mr. Holmes said. Thanks.
